Community

In addition to providing emergency care to the citizens of Chesterfield and Richmond, Forest View provides resources to the community such as training, Safe Place, standbys and public services. All of these activities are free of charge to the community.

Training: Throughout the year, Forest View provides training opportunities to the community and its members.

The FVRS communityCommunity Events: As the leaders of our community, Forest View coordinates and participates in numerous community events. Each summer in partnership with Virginia Blood Services, Forest View hosts a blood drive and open house. During the year, the Junior Squad holds car washes to raise money. Safe Place: Since 2005, Forest View has been a partner with Safe Places to provide shelter to at risk and teens in crisis. Our stations are shelters for teens to go to when they need help dealing with a family or personal crisis.

Standbys: By request, Forest View will provide volunteers for public events in our first due area. Each year, Forest View provides ambulances for high school football games, Midlothian food festival, and other events. Email us to submit a request for a standby.
