Another standby on the books for this month.

We are looking for a driver and two providers from 0600-2000 on 9/23 for a standby at pocahontas state park.  All thirds are encouraged to sign up as well, as there will likely be some training for standbys while on duty.  This is event is looking to be over one thousand people and will involve the UTV and an ambulance, as staffing permits.  This is a long all day march that will cover most of the park.  This is also an opportunity for any drivers to precept and potentially get cleared to operate the UTV.  We wlil staff with all units that staffing allows, and will take bike teams if we have the people to cover them as well.  As always, putting our first out unit in service comes first.  This is an event that could have a generous donation for the squad, and that we could be involved with for years to come so i feel it is a good opportnity to build the relation with a new event.

I am open to people doing part of the day if that helps with staffing, but as many of you know we always have fun at the park and nobody ever wants to leave before the end.

Any help with this event would be appreciated, and please reach out by phone or text if you are available.  If there are any thirds that are precepting we would be happy to work on some skills if call volume permits, but I have been informed by the director that there are usually multiple calls that will involve the UTV.
