RIP Bill Woodfin
This past Sunday the EMS Community and the Forest View family lost a hugely important part of our team. It is with tremendous sadness we announce the passing of Bill Woodfin. Bill has long served Forest View Rescue Squad, most recently as our Infection Control Officer. Bill worked diligently through the pandemic to keep all of us safe so that we could serve others. To say his work during this time was crucial is a decided understatement.
Besides his time at FVRS, Bill was also deeply involved in emergency services as an Evaluator and Instructor for Old Dominion EMS Alliance and a faithful supporter/Instructor for the EMS program at John Tyler Community College, just to name a few.
Besides his contributions to EMS, Bill was just a really nice guy. We never heard him say a bad word about anything (and through the trying times of COVID-19, he had the opportunity). Bill was also a loving father, and husband. He’s gone too soon, and we’re among many who will miss him.
Thank you for your service, Bill. Rest easy.
